Meet the Pilates Team

Sutton Anker has a strong passion for teaching: dance technique, dance science/wellness, Pilates, and creativemovement classes for all ages and abilities. Her interest in dance medicine and science began at the University of Wyoming where she earned her B.F.A. in 2013 in Dance concentration of Science. In 2015, Sutton graduated with her Masters of Science in Dance Science from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, U.K.
Sutton’s personal and academic interest in pedagogy and advocacy for safe dance practice is what drew her to be a Safe in Dance International (SiDI) Registered Provider. Sutton has presented two of her mirror research studies including her Master’s thesis, An Investigation of Pedagogical Rationales for Current Mirror Use in a Ballet Technique Class at the 2016 International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) conference in Hong Kong. Sutton became a staff member of IADMS in 2019 as the Programming Manager, assisting teams across the organization to plan, coordinate, and implement successful conference programming and marketing campaigns.
In 2019, Sutton became a certified BASI Pilates instructor. She loves the Pilates’ accessibility and mind-body focus and works with clients of all ages and abilities to educate and support them on their personal wellness journey.

Karena has been teaching Pilates for over 10 years. She became certified in 2014 after moving to the United States with her family. Born and raised in Ireland, she trained and worked as a Physiotherapist for a decade and is also a certified Personal Trainer.
Karena is passionate about using Pilates to help people move better and feel stronger in their bodies. She believes in educating clients about movement so they can confidently return to doing the activities they love. Her physiotherapy background allows her to design highly individualized programs that support each body’s needs while prioritizing safety. Having used Pilates to rehabilitate from several of her own injuries, she brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to her teaching.
She has extensive additional training in pelvic health, pre- and postnatal care, spinal pain, hip mobility, scoliosis and spinal fusions, shoulder conditions, hypermobility, and osteoporosis, among other areas.
Karena’s goal is to empower clients to keep living their best lives—or to safely return to movement after injury or setbacks. She is dedicated to motivating and supporting each person in reaching their individual goals.
Outside the studio, Karena is a proud mom to two teenage sons and loves staying active in many ways. She enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, swimming, playing tennis and pickleball, strength training—and just as much, curling up with a good book.

Matt grew up in Iowa and has called Colorado home for the past 12 years. Movement and fitness have been a big part of his life for as long as he can remember. Pilates became a natural fit because of how it helps people build strength, improve mobility, and feel more connected to their bodies.
Matt is comprehensively certified through both Polestar Pilates and Peak Pilates. He enjoys working with a wide variety of clients—from those brand new to Pilates to experienced movers looking to take their practice to the next level. What he loves most is helping people accomplish things they didn’t think they could do and seeing the resulting confidence.
When he is not in the studio, you’ll usually find him hiking, playing pickleball, staying active outdoors, or spending time with friends and family. Matt believes movement should enhance your life, and he looks forward to helping you move, feel, and live better.

Samantha Harmon, PT, DPT, OCS (Sammi) grew up in Aurora, Colorado. Her interest in physical therapy began with her personal experience with injuries as a ballet dancer. She received a BFA in Ballet from the University of Utah, and went on to perform professionally with Colorado Ballet and several other dance companies in the Denver area. In 2017 she graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She has over 7 years of experience working in outpatient orthopedics and 4 years of teaching Pilates. She has also been a physical therapist for the professional dancers of Colorado Ballet, and was the PT for the touring company of Frozen the Musical for over 2 years. Her passion is helping performing artists attain their full performance potential while educating them in pain management and prevention strategies. She also enjoys working with individuals with chronic pain, dizziness and balance disorders.

Corinne is a certified Pilates Instructor through STOTT Pilates. Corinne is originally from Minnesota and graduated with a Retail Merchandising and Design degree from the University of Minnesota. She loves to be active, travel, and is an adventure seeker. After being diagnosed with severe degenerative disc disease that left her in debilitating pain, she turned to Pilates for help. Within the first few months of practising and thankful for the relief it had brought her, she had found her passion. Corinne loves being a Pilates Instructor because she understands chronic pain and how to apply Pilates principles to improve spine health. It has been so rewarding for her to see her clients thrive again and live the lives they dream of. Corinne is also certified in TRX and Barre Above.

With a passion for fitness and holistic wellness, Natalie is a certified Pilates instructor dedicated to empowering individuals through movement and mindful practices. Their journey in the world of fitness began with obtaining a Pilates Mat & Reformer certification, followed by extensive experience in teaching and studio management across various locations, including Hawaii and India.
Having taught at renowned studios such as Harmony Pilates and Pilates Maui, Natalie specializes in creating tailored Pilates programs that cater to diverse fitness levels and individual goals. Their approach emphasizes proper alignment, core strength, and the importance of breath, ensuring that each client receives a comprehensive and enjoyable workout.

Their classes are designed to inspire, challenge, and support participants in discovering their strength and flexibility while promoting overall well-being. Andrea (Dre) Cerreta was born and raised in Connecticut. In 2013, she moved across the country to Colorado with her older sister.
She loves spending her free time outdoors with her dog, Willow, aka Pigs. When she’s not seeking adventures, she enjoys getting lost in a good book, watching a movie, or spending time with friends.
Andrea has a long history of strength training. She was brand new to Pilates when she joined our team at Golden PT & Pilates, and now she has incorporated Pilates into her daily routine. She believes the perfect balance for her fitness is combining Pilates with strength training.
She loves learning new things and making people smile. If you’re not laughing around Dre, she’ll make sure to fix that.
Receptionist / Apprentice Pilates Instructor

Jo (who uses they/she pronouns) spent their childhood in California, Massachusetts, and Colorado, and recently moved to Golden from Eagle County with their partner, 2 dogs, and 2 cats.
Over the years, Jo has tried every form of exercise, from Muay Thai and Krav Maga to CrossFit, yoga, and barre. Some were fun, and some were empowering, but it was only Pilates that left them consistently feeling good in their body. Jo also loves teaching in all its forms. Currently, they teach maturation and healthy relationships classes, previously worked as a self-defense instructor, and at two points in their life has taught English in Spain. So it was a no-brainer when they signed up for their first Pilates teacher training through Balanced Body, which happened to be at Golden PT and Pilates. Now, a few months and many roll-ups later, Jo is excited to be GPTP's new apprentice as they finish their certification, and can't wait to help people feel stronger, more confident, and joyful in their bodies.
When they're not at the studio, you can catch Jo at Swallow Hill taking drum lessons, in an improv workshop, attempting to make art, or checking out the latest Grateful Dead cover band passing through town.

Mackenzie is from Ohio and has lived in Colorado for over 8 years. Being outside, traveling, crafting and spending quality time with loved ones are some of her favorite activities. She loves working in the natural health care arena and has worked amongst this field throughout her working career. In 2020, Pilates became a weekly routine when her best friend was in training to become a Pilates Instructor. She fell in love with Pilates and has been working at Golden PT & Pilates since February 2022. She has a certification in Professional Administration. She is invaluable to our team and helps keep us all on track and the office running smoothly.
